If you happened to have bought the Mama Mia DVD you might be in for a treat, as the Boat that Rocked Trailer seems to be included on the DVD.
It is at the moment available here, note that this is not the official trailer yet, but watch Bill dance.

If you like Bill’s voice, and who doesn’t: BBC4 will broadcast a brand new Charles Paris mystery in December:

A Charles Paris Mystery – The Dead Side of the Mic
When: Wednesday 10 December
11.30am-12.00noon BBC RADIO 4
(and the 3 following Wednesdays for episode 2-4)

Bill Nighy returns as Charles Paris, the actor-cum-amateur sleuth, not to mention hard-drinking womaniser. This time, however, he’s landed himself a job at the BBC Radio Drama Company and murder stalks the halls of Broadcasting House.

Charles Paris, who spends much of his career resting, is only too pleased when an old producer, Tom McLeish, rings and suggests there may be a space for Charles on the Radio Rep. He is even happier as his current domestic set-up is somewhat trying – he is still lodging with his ex-wife, Frances, and their heavily pregnant daughter, Juliet, who has walked out on her fiancé. Juliet’s hormones are causing more than a modicum of tension in the household and the builders are in, and Frances, to Charles’s chagrin, seems to have a crush on the carpenter, Toby.

Charles throws himself into work on the radio with relish and when Annie, a young studio manager, is found dead in an editing suite, it seems that murder is once again on the agenda for Charles. He and news producer Steph Kennett start to investigate, and it seems that there are a number of people who may want Annie dead.

Bill Nighy stars as Charles Paris, Nicky Henson as Tom Mcleish, Suzanne Burden as Charles’s long-suffering ex-wife, Frances, and Tilly Guant as their daughter, Juliet. Jon Glover also stars as Charles’s agent, Maurice, Emily Raymond as Steph Kennett and Chris Pavlo as DJ Edwin Palmer.
(Hat tip to endofthelane!)

If you can’t catch Charles at the time of broadcast, try Listen Again or BBC iPlayer.

And you have some days left to listen to The Entertainer, another radioplay with a great Bill Nighy on BBC7. The Entertainer is a poignant examination of three generations of a family after the Second World War.

Don’t miss it!

And the new Underworld: Rise of the Lycans website has been launched too. It’s a beautiful site and make sure to check out the download section where you can download Viktor in full glory.
