Valkyrie release moved before Christmas 2008!
It seems like we will get a bit of Bill Nighy in 2008 now anyway, the US release date of Valkyrie has now been moved to the 26th of December 2008. The UK release date has not been announced yet but is expected to follow the US date closely.

The good thing about this move, apart from the fact that we will have a Bill Nighy film in the cinema sooner, is the fact that the film is now released in time to be nominated for the Oscars.

More Bill bits:
MTV has a tiny interview with Bill about the up coming The Boat That Rocked:
”The only reason the film exists at all is so Curtis could get his hands on some kick-ass music. Seriously.”
“It’s shameless, really,” Nighy laughed with MTV. “It has no other purpose but to make you laugh, and also to play all those records that charted between ‘66 and ‘67. It was a pretty good period. We’ve got the Beatles, and the Rolling Stones, and Diana Ross and all kinds of people.”
Bill Nighy plays Quentin the owner of one of the pirate stations, a man who according to joking Bill “has probably altered his consciousness maybe one too many times” .
The Boat that Rocked is scheduled for a release in 2009.
