A recent convert to the tie is Bill Nighy, the star of Pirates of the Caribbean, Love Actually and Notes on A Scandal.
“I never used to wear a tie when I was younger because you never got the girl if you did,” he said. “But I have just taken up ties because its my only opportunity for colour. I tend to be addicted to the same shade of navy blue, so a tie does help add a bit of colour.
“I haven’t yet got any ties which are too loud colour-wise. It’s early days and I am taking it one step at a time.”
We can’t wait for the loud colour-wise ones.
Yes, Bill certainly does need some color. I hope we’ll see a bunch of photos showcasing the Nighy Tie. Excellent news piece, by the way.
