We did feel it in our fingers for quite a while already, but it now seem to be official: Bill Nighy is going to play a role in the new Brian Singer film Valkyrie. He joins Tom Cruise who now is surrounded by an incredible British cast : Bill Nighy, Tom Wilkinson, Kenneth Branagh, Stephen Fry and Eddie Izzard are all aboard.
Valkyrie is set to be released somewhere in 2008.
The film is about a German general’s plan to snuff out Adolph Hitler at the height of World War II and will begin shooting this July in Berlin.
Something to look forward to.
Bill AND Eddie Izzard in the same movie?? There IS a GOD!! Even the prospect of having to sit through two hours of Tom Cruise cannot dampen my enthusiasm at the moment! YAY!! *snoopy dances*

I’m so delighted. It’s only a shame this incredible cast has to be polluted by the presence of Tom Cruise.
I agree, Ella, Tom Cruise is quite the Hollywood wimp. We can all agree though, that Bill will undoubtedly steal the screen somehow. Tom Cruise doesn’t seem to fit in with all of those excellent actors.
