At Worlds End – Disney premiere
At Worlds End has had it’s starstudded Disney land premiere, here are some Bill Nighy related links:
On a typical Nighy red carpet picture (it’s number 6) on BBC.
And another one.
A couple of more pictures on the Disney land website
“A lot of grog, a lot of sex — it’s a great daydream,” says Bill Nighy, who plays Davy Jones in the “Pirates” movies. “Of course, nobody wants to really live the life of the pirate, but the idea of a pirate might take you out of the cubicle for a while.”
Bill about the success of the Pirates movies:
” I know it sounds cheesy but it’s something to do with big heartedness and good spiritedness and you just feel a bit better when you leave the cinema than you did when you went in.”
“It’s intense, it’s wild, it’s crazy, it’s slightly overwhelming. I mean these people have been here for about 24 hours, half of them are dressed as pirates – to be in something that is this beloved it’s a gas.”
Another interview with him:
I love the fact that I play a vampire who’s 5,000 years old and then I play a zombie, and I then play a half-squid/half-crab man. In animation terms I play a stoned-out rabbit who sings “You’ve Really Got Me” by the Kinks. In another animation I play an albino lab rat who has brain damage caused by overexposure to hallucinogenic drugs during shampoo tests. I like this kind of stuff. I like it when it gets stupid. I like it when it gets daft because you’re not being a nuisance. You’re not doing anything bad in the world.
