Ethan Hawke was good as the anarchist Bakunin in Stoppard's trilogy, but his character only had one note ("First, destroy everything! Second, there is no second."). Bill, on the other hand, had a range of nuances to his performance. I saw him do it three times and each time I was more impressed. Bill Nighy is the Zeus of the Stage. Please, gods of the drama awards, give him the g-d Tony Award! Ah, may he win.
