Bill Nighy nominated for a Golden Globe award

Bill Nighy and Kelly MacDonald in the Girl In The Cafe
Bill Nighy is nominated for a Golden Globe for “Best Actor In a Mini-Series Or a Movie For TV” for his astonishing performance in the Girl In the Cafe.
Kelly MacDonald is nominated too, for Best Actress, in the same film.
Needless to say that there only is one that truly deserves this award, and that is Bill Nighy for this performance. Let’s cross our fingers and hope that he gets what he deserves.
The Constant Gardener is also nominated, as best Drama film.
You can see all the nominations on the official Golden Globe site. The Globes Awards show will be held on the 16th of January 2006.

We're going to have a party, a jolly good party. Splendid!
Bill will read Dracula!

I loved Bill in Still Crazy, and in Love Actually. They were hilarious. Then, for him to play Viktor in Underworld, really showed his versatility.
Yes, and he does very well playing a zombie (SHaun of the Dead), an alien (Hitchhikers Guide) and newspaper editor (State of Play) or english dandy too.
He is very versatile indeed :-)
Can someone post Bill Nighy’s acceptance speech for the Golden Globe award? I found it typically witty.
You can see his whole speech online here :-)

Oops, I guess that was the after award interview with Bill. No speech here unfortunately!
I usually don’t bother to even watch the awards shows, so it was such a delightful suprise to flip past and it just happened to be his award!
The whole thing was enjoyable-how he got delayed on the way to the stage [everyone was kind of puzzled and looking around for him], the kiss from/to Sienna Miller, the delightfully dry acceptance speech.
Bill Nighy’s extraordinary talent is evident in just the first 10 minutes of The Girl in the Cafe.
